“When you put out as much energy as I do, you have to make sure your body is always capable of performing properly and keeping hydrated is the most important thing you can do. I can really feel how Penta hydrates me faster, helping me to perform at my best."

Australian born Chris McCormack remains the #1 ranked Triathlete in the world having won 19 races in a row while on American soil. A fierce competitor at all triathlon distances, the Australian McCormack has won 18 of his last 24 international races, and finished no worse than fourth in the other six.

Chris won his first Triathlon as an age grouper, then went to Worlds as a junior and took 4th place. He was then forced by his parents to return home from Europe and racing to finish college. He received his degree in accounting and took a full time desk job. He hated it, and after 6 months quit his job to follow his dream of becoming a pro Triathlete. One year later he became the World Champion!

In his first attempt at the Ironman distance (2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike and 26.2-mile run), the 29-year-old McCormack left behind the strongest field outside of Hawaii ever assembled to win the 2002 Ironman Australia, the first time in 12 years an Australian had won the race. In the past two years alone, Chris has won 3 different National Championships, a Gold Medal, a World Cup, and an Ironman. He has been voted "Triathlete of the Year" the past two seasons by Triathlete Magazine and still remains the only man to ever win the World Championship and World Cup Series in the same year. In 2001 he was also again named Competitor of the Year by Competitor magazine.

McCormack, the formidable short-course specialists throughout the late ‘90s, stepped up to long-course racing in 2001 with a big win at the Wildflower Half-Ironman. In the fall of 2001 Chris won the Gold Medal at the Goodwill Games and has also won four Escape From Alcatraz races becoming the only man ever to do so. With back-to-back wins at San Diego International, Los Angeles International, Wildflower Half-Ironman, San Jose International, and Escape from Alcatraz, Chris will be competing in both the Commonwealth Games as well as Ironman Hawaii this year.
